Hi, we are Matthew and Charissa Weaver, along with our three boys we love spending time in the outdoors hiking, camping, surfing, and backpacking.
Matthew has been backpacking since he was a teenager and for the last couple of decades has been a Scout leader taking youth on backpacking and mountaineering trips.
Charissa has been hiking since she was a child and while she has done a lot of camping has just recently (2018) taken up backpacking.
All of our boys started backpacking around 11-12 years old. For Ben and Gordon their first week-long trip was to the Hidden Lakes in the Pasayten Wilderness.
We live in Anacortes Washington, a great place to hike year round with mild coastal weather in the winter and easy access to the North Cascades in the summer time.
